Asia is a therapist in the RTP area who has published "Cry, Exhale, Heal: A Journey to Inner Healing." In her book she takes you on a journey through one of the toughest moments in her life and leaves all her pain behind on each page. She shares her struggles with emotional and psychological roadblocks while navigating life and gives the reader tools on how to push past and come out victorious on the other end! I recommend this book for anyone looking for an easily digestible read and self-help resource. Love it!
This book is amazing! Where to begin first?! Well, the author's transparency for one is amazing. She bears it all and is unashamed of her journey through healing. The quotes and poems at the beginning of each chapter are nuggets to chew on throughout your journey. I also like that fact that she talks about taking the mask off. It's something that we should all take inventory of for ourselves to make sure we're not wearing a mask! Great read!
One of my favorites lines in this book "little did I know, I would encounter a life changing experience that would teach me there is a form of crying which cleanses the soul, releases the weight of life's burdens and heals suppressed wounds." Cry. Exhale. Heal has allowed me to own my wounds and move forward. It's real and honest about the waves of depression that are present even years after a great loss. After reading it, I am better equipped to recognize triggers within myself...just a great guide for reflection.
